MINUTES OF DIRECTORS MEETING. Meeting held on Monday 20th March 2017 - 12.00 pm at Don Cayo Golf. Present: Wolfgang Fischer (President), Antonio Perez Albiñana (Vice President ES), Richard Kent (Treasurer), Matthew King (Secretary), Terry Miles (Web coordinator), Sonata Lungmus, John Schimell, Francisco Javier Gomez, Apologies for absence –Willem Van Oorde, Annetta Eberhardt (NHW coordinator) Emil Apeldoorn, 1). The Minutes of meeting held 06/02/2017 were approved. The Secretary was grateful to Willem Van Oorde for stepping in and helping out at the previous meeting 2. Treasurers Report. RK reported that after the Associations money had been deposited in the Bank Account there had been an Invoice raised of 338 euros for “Bank Fees”. John Schimell spoke to the manager at Sabadell and organised a “re-fund” of this amount and this ‘Annual Fee’ has now been dropped by the Bank to the Association. The Board thanked John. 3. Secretary’s Report. MK reported that during his recent surgery, he had suffered a minor stroke and whilst recovering would need to assess his role as Secretary in the future. Membership There are currently 278 Members. There are still many members who remain un-contactable.MK to send out a Letter to existing members asking them to invite any new “Neighbours” they may have to join the A.V.S.A membership or at least point them in the right direction. New People moving to the area and old people moving on is always a difficult area for any membership Secretary. 4. Vecinos Website. T.M. reported that the website had been updated 2 days ago and was running well with any new items entered. He reported that he would be away for a few weeks but would keep up with the website and the possibility of a mobile App. 5. NHW update. Annetta was not at the meeting but the Committee discussed the possibility of getting an “Alarm Company” to give a brief talk at the next AGM or at least being there to help Members with their security issues as the Break-ins continue. M.K. & J.S. are both members of the Whats App Group and both found it a useful tool. 6. Other business. 1). Altea Ayuntamiento is to release a new Website on the 1st April 2017 with the introduction of a “Web Phone” to put through Instant and Urgent Messages. When we have details we will post them on the Notice Board. MK. The Ayuntamiento also offer ”Free” Classes in Spanish – However there will be only 600 places in Valencia, it is a web based learning program and a minimal 10hours p.c. month commitment is required. This information is all on the New Altea Website – and Our Own Website at AVSA. 2). Buzon Lights. There is “Light” at the end of the tunnel – the new Battery has been purchased and will be fitted as soon as an appointment can be made. This will hopefully be before mid-summer when it will be only required for a max of 5 hours. 3). Meeting with Beatrice Monday 3rd April 12.00pm Centro Social ALTEA LA VELLA (above medical centre). Any Other Business please let Wolfgang/Matt know prior to the meeting if you are unable to attend. 4).SUMMER PARTY – 30th June 2017 – 19.30 for 20.00 WF had said that last year’s party had gone well on all levels and in all departments and thanked the Board for their efforts. One point was made that we should make it clear on the Invitations absolutely what the food requirements should be prior to the Dinner. Visa Vie – Meat: Fish: Vegetarian Meal. Alex (Restaurant Owner) would provide early evening music. Matt to cover the Entertainment or to organise a new Artist, depending on his recovery. Guests of Members will be charged the same amount as last year of 25Euros per person. (Subject to negotiations with The Restaurant and any potential rise in meal costs) There being no other business the meeting closed at approx. 13.10.
