Meeting of Directors in Meliton, Altea la Vella March 21, 2019. Anne Vanderborne Francisco Jerry Gomis (Vocal) Ismael Fernández (Secretary) Purpose of the meeting: Review the Terry's document, where it analyzes the problems we have suffered due to cuts and poor service in the water supply to our homes by Aproversa, with the idea of complementing it among all and giving it shape, and then looking for a formal meeting with the people in charge at Altea Town Hall and about it, to transfer our concerns and seek their commitment to solve it. Meeting With the presence of a majority, the meeting began; We proceeded to comment on the document described above and the latest incidents with the water supply. Shortly after starting, three Popular Party Leaders responded to the invitation of Fco. Jerry G; Four years ago, these people, were part of the government of the City of Altea and know well the problems in the supply of water in the Sierra. During this government, they took concrete actions to find a solution, eventually promoting the expropriation of some assets of Aproversa (May 2015) and passing control and supply to Aguas de Altea. Motivated by the fact that Aproversa, had not carried out the necessary works to guarantee the supply in conditions, since they estimate, more than 50% of the water is lost in leaks in its distribution network, due to its poor condition. Likewise, they told us about the reorganization they made of the sewage treatment plants and of certain infrastructure to transfer water from one of the Aguas de Altea deposits to another one of Aproversa, so as not to leave the Sierra urbanizations without water. In the end, with the change of Government to the current one, everything was paralyzed and it is a date that the present leaders have not taken any action to solve the problem. They showed us a document (Feb. 2018) where from the opposition, they are questioning why they have not done anything .. No response! They were very receptive and interested in the current problem, with which, they were given the analysis of Terry’s to take it into account if they come to power. Subsequently, there was talk of fire prevention plans and the need to prune (clear) the pines, both in public areas and private properties, to prevent the spread of forest fires that may affect our homes. Mention that there have been some actions in public places, more would need to create an ordinance to force the owners to keep their trees and plots clean. Finally, we commented on the problem of garbage containers, the need to have some for garden waste and the problem of the elderly to access them; As well as the issue of potholes and their repair. They were thanked for their time and interest in listening to our needs and we continued our meeting by exchanging impressions and coming to a conclusion. Conclusion : Wait for the next elections to pass and let's see which political party stays with the government of the City Council of Altea and in case the current Political Group is maintained, we will ask for an audience to transfer our demands and / or needs and if it is from the Popular Party, we have done it and we would look for them to support them in their plan of action.
