Minutes of Committee Members Meeting
Altea la Vella 17th May 2021.
The Meeting, originally scheduled for 10th May, took place at Bar Ripoll in Altea la
Vella at 11.30 attended by the members of the committee of the Asociación:
Present were: Annette Eberhardt (interim president), Richard Kent, Anne
Vanderborne. Wolfgang Fischer, Toni Canet, Bouderwijn Overduin.
Apologies for absence: Francisco Jerry Gomis, Ismael Fernandez, Willem v Oorde.
The meeting was conducted in English. The minutes were taken by the president
and written up by W. v. Oorde upon receipt of the hand-written notes.
1. Minutes of Meeting of 12th April 2021 were approved
2. Treasurer’s Report:
a.
b.
c. To date 7 members have received 30 Euro contribution towards green bin
costs. In the meantime container prices have increased to 130-euro. It was therefore
agreed that the Association would contribute 40 Euro (originally 30) per member, per
year and on presentation of a receipt. (To be noted in the newsletter).
3. Secretary’s Report:
There are currently 302 members.
It was agreed that Anne should contact Ismael in order to complete the hand-
over of the membership files/data. Once this has been done, Ismael will be able to
completely withdraw from/cease his role as Membership Secretary. Our thanks, once
again, to Ismael for his contribution to date.
4. Neighbourhood Watch and website.
It was noted that the website is fully up-to-date.
A renewed request regarding attempted/actual break-ins: affected individuals are
kindly requested to contact the Neighbourhood Watch – by email in the case of an
attempted or actual break-in - stating the following details:
When?
Where?
How?
Items stolen/damaged?
Was property occupied at time of break-in?
Alarm system - on/off?
Guardia Civil notified/denuncia submitted?
It was agreed that this information should be included in the next newsletter.
5. Instancias:
It had been agreed at the recent extraordinary committee meeting, where Town Hall
representatives were present, that in future all denuncias should be submitted via
WhatsApp. Accordingly, Wolfgang reported that he had indeed submitted the most
recent denuncia in this manner - regretfully, no reaction. It was therefore agreed
that the committee would revert back to the old system of submitting instancias.
6. Other points:
a) Neighbourhood cats
No further update
b) Delayed AGM:
Proposed date - Friday 26 November 2021, Covid regulations permitting.
Members will be kept up to date.
c) Summer party (Fiesta):
It is hoped that the summer party can take place this year (unlike last year,
when on account of the pandemic, it was prohibited). A date for the diary: 6th August
2021 at 19.30. This also to be noted in the forthcoming newsletter. Bouderwijn
proposed that the venue should be the Golf Club, on account of there being a new
president and a new chef/restaurant franchisee.
d) Next meeting
It was also proposed that the next committee meeting (June 7th at 11.30)
should be held at the Golf Club. This would give the committee the opportunity to
question the chef/restaurant franchisee (by the name of “Seedo”’?) on his ability to
cater for up to 100 guests and his proposals as to how to make the evening a
seamless success.
e) Post (Buzones) House:
Further to what was agreed at the previous meeting (and minuted) it was agreed that
only the walls of the Buzones building should be painted – total cost 250 Euro.
f) Newsletter
Bouderwijn has returned from his prolonged absence and will assume the task
of writing the newsletter.
g) Display Cabinet in Buzones House
Anne agreed to remove outdated documents and replace them with the latest
set of minutes and soon to be completed newsletter.
h) Aporbersa
The committee anticipates changes to the manner that water is delivered. The
committee expects to receive notification from the Town Hall regarding process,
quality, pricing and on-going maintenance of the water supply. As soon as such
notification is received, members will be informed via newsletter.
i) Golf Club
Final point from Bouderwijn, relaying a message from the president of the Golf
Club - Gerrit Jan Smitskamp - namely: the club is being redesignated “a Country
Club”, with more offerings than golf. The president would like to have greater contact
with the Vecinos. It was agreed that the committee would discuss the offerings with
him at the next opportunity.
7.) Next Meeting
7th June – 11.30 – Golf (Country?) Club
Meeting ended. 13.25
